About Retrica, Inc.
As a company, Retrica’s mission is to create a new playground where you can freely express yourself and discover a new you every time, everywhere.
Our story began in 2012, when we launched an app with a mission to deliver the world’s best selfie experience. Boasting over a hundred free filters to choose from, Retrica paved the way for community members around the world to discover their daily lives in a different light, and share that moment with others.
Now, we empower 350 million people to express themselves and communicate with others across borders through photo and video.
Retrica Continues Its Climb on Google Play
April’s Index for Apps noted the rise of photo editing app Retrica on Google Play. The app continued to climb the Google Play download charts in May, reaching #7 by monthly downloads outside of games.

Founder & CEO
As the founder of Retrica, Sangwon is responsible for setting the company direction and product strategy. He also leads the development of Retrica’s core services and technology.
Before starting his own venture, he was a software developer at Naver, Korea’s #1 internet portal.
Chase is Cheif Operating Officer at Retrica, where he oversees the company’s business operations, marketing and sales.
Prior to joining Retrica, Chase was VP of Global Business Development at LINE Pay. He first started working with technology companies during a stint at Softbank Ventures Korea.
Eric J. Kim is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Goodwater Capital.
Prior to co-founding Goodwater, Eric has led early and growth stage investments into leading consumer mobile companies such as Kakao, Musical.ly, and Zenefits. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Coupang, Memebox, and Viva Republica.
